Lillie K. Cannon Richard was born September 10, 1929 to the late Robert and Bessie Simpson Cannon in Laurens County, South Carolina. She was a member of the St. Vaughnville Baptist Church which she attended until her health declined. She was also a member of the Woman's Aide Society #49.

Elwood is survived by three children, Thomas, Maryann, and David; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Dowhower and four siblings. In 2022, Keshon and a group of his buddies started their own moving company “A Brighter Day Experience”. He was very proud of his accomplishments and so were his family and friends.
